It’s that exciting time of the year when STORY22 welcome fresh faces to their team. Say hello to their newest intern, Emma!

As projects become more diverse and their client base rapidly grows, so too does STORY22’s team. They’re always on the lookout for creative minds to join them, so growing their team with fresh, talented individuals who bring new energy and perspectives is a must.

This is one of the reasons they take part in the University of Kent’s Employability Points Scheme. This fantastic initiative helps students boost their employability skills throughout their time at university before they head into the working world.

This is the third year STORY22 have participated in the scheme, and they were blown away by the calibre and enthusiasm of all the applicants this summer.

What is The Employability Points Scheme?

The Employability Points (EP) Scheme at the University of Kent connects eager students with different organisations to generate valuable work experience opportunities. For the businesses involved, it is the chance to discover emerging talent from the university.

The scheme encourages students to enhance their skills and develop themselves through a variety of experiences as they enter university. The EP rewards scheme allows students to log any activities or work experience they take part in. This could be joining society committees or working part-time, in exchange for employability points. At the end of the academic year, these are collected and traded for internships, work experience, skills events and more.

This year, the competition was fierce, and STORY22 were super impressed with the talented individuals they were lucky enough to interview.

Meet Emma, STORY22’s Social Media Dynamo!

This summer, STORY22 are thrilled to have Emma join their team as an intern. She’ll be diving into their social media efforts, bringing with her the experience she gained as Marketing Officer for her society committee. The team at STORY22 are certain Emma will be pitching lots of ideas with an abundance of enthusiasm and creativity!

Having just wrapped up her degree in marketing, Emma is eager to put her knowledge to work saying: “I am very excited to get involved with social media at STORY22, I’m looking forward to bringing all my ideas to life and helping the team create content from a fresh perspective!”

STORY22 co-founder Julie Firth said: “Emma brings a refreshing burst of creativity and energy to our team. We’re excited to see how her unique perspective will shape our social media presence this summer. Welcome aboard, Emma!”

When Emma’s not rocking the social media world, you might find her crocheting animals to display around the house or riding high-speed motorcycles. Talk about a dynamic duo of hobbies!

Huge thanks to the University of Kent for facilitating this fantastic scheme. If you’re interested in discovering new talent for your business, you can learn more about the University of Kent’s Employability Points Scheme here.
