LinkedIn is the ultimate contacts book for businesses. If you are selling products or services, growing your business, increasing your network, looking for suppliers, going to networking or are in a competitive industry, LinkedIn should be a social media platform you get to grips with.

Here are her tips to get started:
Complete your profiles
Fill in absolutely every box in your profile – headline, tagline, hashtags, website link, plus make sure you also add your cover image (the big one behind your profile photo) and have a professional business shot.
Post regularly
Post regularly – try two or three times a week at first, but don’t just spout out sales stuff or repost others’ content without your own post to go with it – give it some context.
Post a mix of what you do, client work, reviews, staff news, company news, successes, client wins, awards, and educational tips.
Add an article
Showcase your knowledge on a particular point. We usually write about a frequently asked question, so that we are giving information that we know many people will want to know about.
Write a regular newsletter
A monthly newsletter with a single, in-depth article or a range of shorter ones covering interesting topics will allow you to regularly reach an audience with your expertise, ideas and solutions.
Invite people to recommend you
Ask clients and peers for recommendations so that others are influenced by them in choosing you.
Interact
Reply to comments on your own posts and comment on others’ posts, sharing them where relevant.
Connect with people you meet and accept connections with people you’ve met or you think might be useful to know.
Message people – ask them to let them know what they do, who for and what kind of business/clients they are looking for. You then have the opportunity to do the same and you never know who you might be able to recommend to them and them to you.
