An internal survey of customer sectors reveals that 20% of the 195 offices consist of business owners offering therapies and beauty-related services such as nail and make-up, massages and aesthetics. Moreover, in a fillip to female entrepreneurship, women lead one in three onsite businesses.

This year’s figure has remained unchanged since the survey was last carried out three years ago.

Meanwhile, findings show that financial services make up 11% of the office space, whilst retail, distribution and manufacturing companies pole in third place in the league table at 10%.

Centre manager Toni Wilkinson, who heads up a six-strong management team, said: “The report is proof of our widespread appeal to a dynamic, thriving and diverse community of SMEs. Whatever their size, they fit right in with us.”

Meanwhile, financial services, consultancy, construction and IT services are among the most popular sectors seeking virtual office packages; these are start-ups and sole traders seeking a registered business address and telephone number to convey a more professional image.
