Join us for our Chamber Charity Showcase. We are delighted to have Hypo Hounds as our chosen Chamber Charity of the Year. We will be celebrating this partnership by hosting two back-to-back showcase events at the Hypo Hounds headquarters. During the course of these events, we will be learning more about Hypo Hounds operations and the fantastic work they do. You will also have a chance to delve deeper into the science behind their diabetic alert assistance dogs and how they can tell that their owners are having a dangerous change in their blood sugar levels.

The first of these two events will take place from 10:30am – 12:00pm and the second will take place from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. Due to limited space in their headquarters, please can you make sure you only turn up to the event you book onto. These two events will follow the same agenda and include the same content, so you are only allowed to book onto one of the two events. Numbers for this event will be restricted to two per company.

Due to the limited numbers of this event, please ensure that if you book on you are able to attend.

About Hypo Hounds:

Hypo Hounds train dogs to detect and alert to the dangerous changes their Type 1 Diabetic owner’s blood sugars.

By alerting their owners or their families to these changes in blood sugars, Hypo Hounds can help to prevent potentially life-threatening hypoglycaemic attacks.

These are known as hypos and result from low blood sugar levels.

Diabetic alert dogs can also be trained to detect potential episodes of hyperglycaemia (known as hypers) when blood sugar levels are too high.

Hypo Hounds services are focused on children, enabling them to gain independence and freedom.

We are able to help adults if they have a clinical need.
