Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is over 600 acres, where you can see big cats, gorillas, giraffe, rhino, primates and many more animals. Hop on safari, travel through South American, African, and Asian Experiences and come face to face with hundreds of rare and endangered animals in the Kent countryside, before discovering life sized prehistoric creatures in Dinosaur Forest!
After exploring the park and all its inhabitants, stop off for a bite to eat; relax with authentic Italian cuisine at Babydoll’s Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant or enjoy family favourites at Basecamp and Pinewood Cafe. The Garden Room’s laid back Mediterranean charm makes it the ideal location for a relaxed lunch, afternoon tea, or special evening dinner.
Fancy extending your stay? Choose from 14 different ways to stay at Port Lympne, including glamping under the stars, relaxing in exclusive luxury lodges, or treat yourself to a lion or tiger lodge complete with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the big cat enclosures.
Port Lympne’s sister park, Howletts is home to over 390 animals, including Kent’s only giant anteaters, the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, and more gorillas, leopards and monkeys than any zoo in the county!
Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Parks are committed to one thing; the conservation, breeding and reintroduction of rare and endangered animals.
Over 30 years later, our mission remains the same! We are a breeding centre for rare and endangered animals and although we work hard to offer a great day out for our visitors, the animals have to come first. By working closely with The Aspinall Foundation, a world-class animal conservation charity dedicated to protecting endangered animals around the globe, wherever possible we aim to return animals back to protected areas of their natural habitat.
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, and Howletts Wild Animal Park offers a unique family adventure like no other, and you can enjoy your visit knowing you’re supporting the care, nurture and release of these incredible animals.
